Welcome to Blue Whales!
We are the brilliant Year 5 and Year 6 class at Poolsbrook Primary. In our class we have lots of different grown ups and they are: Miss Dunkley, Mrs O'Neill, Mrs Richardson, Miss Walker and Mrs Lakin. This means that we have lots of helping hands to ensure that the children receive the support they need.
Please click on the link below to our class blog written by children in our class about the learning taking place - this is updated weekly!
This half term’s geography enquiry question is 'Why can the Earth considered to be extreme?. As part of this learning we will be looking at the impact of: droughts, earthquakes and tsunamis. We will be looking at the impact on the environment and the community.
In English we will be using our Talk for writing approach to learn about and write a non-chronological report. We will continue to develop our love of reading by reading widely across the curriculum, getting the chance to experience a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction texts. Our class story for this term is 'Running Wild' by Michael Morporgo.
In Maths we will be learning: measurement, percentages and decimals.
