Free school meals
If your child is entitled to a Free School Meal you need to complete the relevant forms. This will also enable the school to access Pupil Premium funding for your child/ren which goes into resourcing further support in class. If in doubt about whether your child is eligible for Free School Meals complete the form and this can be checked. You will need your National Insurance number when completing the form. If you wish your child to change from dinners to sandwiches or vice versa please give one week's notice.
We are very much involved in promoting Healthy Eating. For those children who bring pack-ups for school dinners, please ensure that they have a piece of fruit and no fizzy drinks. We also strongly discourage chocolate and sugary snacks! Think also about the choice of sandwich/lunch that you provide. Making Healthy choices now will ensure that your children can make such choices for themselves in the future!
Children who go home for dinner should not arrive back until 10 minutes before the start of the afternoon session and should inform a midday supervisor of their arrival. Children need to be picked up/returned to school by an adult. As a matter of safeguarding, we will not permit children to leave on their own.
Universal Free School Meals
Current Government Legislation means that all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Free School Meals. Please ensure that all the necessary forms are completed in the office in order for the school to access funding.
